How it works
[[TODO(Adam): approve marketing copy]]
For diners
- 1. Find the dish. Search by dish, cuisine or restaurant name, near you or in any U.S. city or ZIP. Every restaurant leads with its signature dish, and many have short clips of it being made.
- 2. Book a table. Pick a date, time and party size and reserve in a few taps. You need a free account with a confirmed email address. There's no card and no booking fee.
- 3. Show up and enjoy it. Your confirmation has a code and a link to manage the booking. Plans changed? Cancel from the link or from My reservations before your reservation time.
- 4. Share your take. Once the restaurant marks your party as seated, you can write one review of that visit within 30 days, and add a short video if you like.
Why reviews work this way
Only diners the restaurant actually seated can review, so every review is tied to a real visit. To post a review you also need a confirmed email address. [[TODO(Adam): phone verification decision. The code also requires a phone-verified account, but texts are in console mode in production, so nobody can verify yet. Either turn on real SMS and add "and a phone-verified account" here, or drop the phone requirement in code]] See how reviews work.
Restaurants can reply publicly to reviews. Anyone can report a review or clip that breaks our review and content guidelines.
For restaurants
- 1. Apply. Tell us about your place and the one dish you're known for at Apply to list your restaurant. We review every listing before it goes live.
- 2. Set up. Add your tables, shifts and turn times, and choose whether bookings confirm automatically or wait for your OK.
- 3. Seat guests. Mark guests as seated (or as a no-show) from your dashboard. Seating a guest is what unlocks their review.
- 4. Hear from real guests. Read and reply to reviews, and post short clips of your signature dish.
Restaurant terms come with the Restaurant Agreement after approval. See Pricing.
