Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Taylor Business Management, LLC, a New York limited liability company ("Signature Dish", "we", "us"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you use the Signature Dish website at signaturedish.mobi, our apps, and related services (together, the "Service"). It should be read with our Terms of Service.

1. The short version

  • We collect what we need to run the Service: your account details, your bookings, the reviews and clips you post, and some technical information that helps us keep the Service secure.
  • When you book, the restaurant gets the details it needs for your table.
  • We use your activity on Signature Dish to personalise recommendations, including clearly labelled sponsored placements.
  • We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with third-party ad networks or data brokers for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we don't track you across other companies' sites or apps.
  • You choose whether we send you picks and offers by email or text, and whether we personalise recommendations, in Account, Contact preferences.
  • You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information at any time by emailing [email protected].

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: your name, email address and password. We store only a secure one-way hash of your password, never the password itself.
  • Mobile number: if you add one, we send a one-time code by text message to verify it (we store the code only as a scrambled, keyed-hash value). A verified number is needed to post reviews. If you choose, we also use it for booking texts or picks and offers, as described in section 9.
  • Bookings: the restaurant, date, time and party size, the name, phone number and email for the booking, and any notes you add for the restaurant (for example, an allergy or a special occasion).
  • Reviews and uploads: your ratings and review text, any video clips you upload with a review, and replies and reports you send us. A video clip includes its picture and sound, which may show or record you or other people, and details such as the file type, size and length. We re-encode each clip, remove embedded metadata (such as location and device details) from the copy we keep, and make a still preview image from it.
  • Invitations and referrals: if you invite friends to a reservation or share your referral link, we record who invited whom.
  • Restaurant accounts: if you apply to list a restaurant or work at one, we collect the restaurant's details (name, address, phone, cuisine and signature dish), your role (owner, manager or host), the video clips and captions you upload for the restaurant's page, and the booking updates you make (for example, marking a party as seated or a no-show).
  • Messages to us: anything you send to [email protected].
  • Messages we send you: a record of each email and text we send (the address or number, subject, content and whether it was delivered), so we can fix delivery problems and show we sent required notices.
  • Your choices and agreements: when you agree to our Terms and this policy, and each contact choice you make (for example, turning on texts or unsubscribing), we record what you chose, when, how (for example, at sign-up, in your account, with an unsubscribe link or by replying STOP), the exact wording you were shown, the email address or number it applies to, a scrambled version of your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and security information: we set a first-party cookie with a random device ID. We store a scrambled (keyed hash) version of that ID, a scrambled version of your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string, and we use them to prevent fraud, spam and abuse, for example to spot many accounts created from one device.
  • Usage information: the searches you run and the pages, restaurants and dishes you view or interact with.
  • Location, only if you allow it: when you choose "Use my location", your browser or device asks for permission. If you agree, we use your approximate location (rounded to roughly 100 metres) to find and sort restaurants near you. You can turn location access off at any time in your browser or device settings, and you can always search by city, neighbourhood or ZIP code instead. We don't keep your precise location longer than we need it to answer that request.
  • Logs: like most websites, our servers and our network provider record technical information such as IP address, time, and the page requested, to keep the Service running and secure.

Information from others

  • Restaurants tell us whether you were seated, cancelled or didn't show up for a booking.
  • Other diners may invite you to a reservation they made.
  • Our bot-protection provider tells us whether a sign-up or form looks automated.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and run your account, and to sign you in.
  • To make, change and cancel bookings, and to send you confirmations, reminders and updates about them.
  • To verify your email address and mobile number, and to reset your password.
  • To publish your reviews and clips, and to let restaurants reply to reviews.
  • To send you picks and offers (restaurant spotlights, promotions, newsletters and sponsored offers) by email or text, only if you ask for them.
  • To keep records of your agreements and contact choices, so we can honour them and show what you agreed to.
  • To personalise what you see. We use your activity on Signature Dish (bookings, searches, favourites, reviews and cuisine preferences) and, if you allow it, your device location, to personalise recommendations and highlight restaurants and dishes. This can include sponsored placements that restaurants pay for, which are always clearly labelled "Sponsored". We use only information from your use of Signature Dish for this, not information about you from other companies.
  • To keep the Service safe: preventing fake accounts, fake reviews, booking abuse and spam, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • To provide support and answer your questions.
  • To improve the Service and fix problems.
  • To meet legal obligations and to protect our rights and the rights of others.

Turning off personalised recommendations

Turn off Personalised recommendations in Account, Contact preferences. It takes effect right away. You'll still see restaurants based on what you search for, and you may still see sponsored placements, but they won't be chosen using your activity. You can also turn off Location-based picks there, and location is only ever used when you also allow it in your browser or device.

Automated trust checks

To protect diners and restaurants, we give each account a trust score based on signals such as whether its email and phone are verified, how old it is, its no-show history, whether its email is from a disposable-email service, and how many accounts use the same device. The score helps decide, for example, whether a new review is published right away or checked by a person first. It doesn't stop you from booking. If you think we got something wrong, email us and a person will look at it.

4. What other people can see

  • Reviews, ratings and clips you post are public. They show your first name and last initial (for example, "Jordan A."), never your full name, email or phone number.
  • Restaurants you book with see your booking details: the name, phone number and email for the booking, party size, notes, and whether you were seated or marked as a no-show for bookings at their restaurant.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as described here. Service providers may use it only to provide their services to us.

  • Restaurants, when you book with them or review them, as described above. Each restaurant handles the information it receives under its own policies.
  • Cloudflare (service provider), which provides our network connection, content delivery, security, and bot checks on forms (Cloudflare Turnstile). Cloudflare's own handling of data is described in its privacy policy.
  • Springs Hosting (service provider), the email relay service that delivers our emails.
  • Service providers that send text messages on our behalf, such as verification codes and, if you ask for them, booking texts and picks and offers. We don't share your mobile number or your text-message consent with anyone else for their own marketing.
  • The people you choose to share with, for example friends you invite to a reservation.
  • For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect the safety, rights or property of our users, restaurants, the public or Signature Dish.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third-party ad networks or data brokers for cross-context behavioural advertising. Sponsored placements are shown using information from your use of Signature Dish only, and restaurants that pay for them don't receive your personal information because of it.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only the cookies and browser storage needed to run the Service. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics, and we don't track you across other companies' sites or apps.

  • Sign-in cookies keep you signed in (for up to 30 days) and protect forms against cross-site attacks.
  • Device cookie (random ID, kept up to about 13 months) helps us prevent fraud and abuse, as described above.
  • Accessibility settings you choose (text size, contrast and so on) are saved in your browser's local storage on your device only. We don't send them to our servers.
  • Bot check: Cloudflare Turnstile may use its own cookies or similar technology on forms such as sign-up, to tell people from bots.
  • Offline support: the site may store copies of its own images and code in your browser so it loads faster and shows an offline page when you have no connection. It doesn't store your personal pages.

You can clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time. If you block the sign-in cookies, you won't be able to sign in.

7. Where your information is stored and how we protect it

The Service runs on servers that we operate in the United States. Our service providers may process information in other countries; when they do, they are required to protect it.

We use security measures appropriate to the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, scrambled (keyed-hash) IP addresses and device IDs, rate limits and bot checks, access restricted to the people who need it, firewalled internal networks, and encrypted backups. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. How long we keep information

  • Account information: for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your account information within 30 days.
  • Reviews and clips: until you delete them or your account. When you delete your account, we delete your reviews and clips (and their preview images) too.
  • Booking records: up to 3 years after the booking date, to handle disputes, fraud and tax matters, then deleted or anonymised. This applies even if you delete your account sooner.
  • Server and security logs: up to 90 days.
  • Records of emails and texts we send: up to 12 months.
  • Records of your agreements and contact choices: while your account is open and for up to 5 years after your last choice, so we can show what you agreed to and keep honouring opt-outs. If you delete your account, we keep these records linked only to the email address or number they apply to, not to your account.
  • Backups: our backups roll off within 35 days, so deleted information may stay in a backup until then.
  • We may keep information longer when the law requires it, or to resolve a dispute, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our Terms.

9. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • See and correct your account details and bookings in your account, or ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • Get a copy of your information in a commonly used format (export);
  • Delete your reviews, or your whole account;
  • Choose your messages and personalisation in Account, Contact preferences: picks and offers by email, picks and offers by text, booking texts, personalised recommendations and location-based picks. Changes take effect right away.

To make a request, email [email protected] from the email address on your account, so we can confirm it's you. We'll answer within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Your contact choices

  • Account and booking emails (booking confirmations, reminders and changes, security and password emails, and verification codes) are needed to run your account, so they can't be turned off while you have an account. They never contain promotions.
  • Picks and offers by email are off unless you turn them on. Every one of these emails says who it's from and has an unsubscribe link that works without signing in, and your email app's unsubscribe button works too.
  • Texts are off unless you turn them on for your verified number: booking texts (confirmations and reminders) and picks and offers by text are separate choices. Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Verification codes you ask for are always sent.
  • Agreeing to picks and offers is never a condition of booking or buying anything, and we honour opt-outs right away.

Residents of New York and other US states

If you live in New York or in another US state with its own privacy laws, you may have additional rights under those laws, such as the right to know, access, correct or delete your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information or targeted advertising. We'll honour requests as those laws require. As described above, we don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If we deny your request, you can reply to our answer to ask us to reconsider.

10. Deleting your account

To delete your account, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We'll confirm the request and delete or anonymise your information as described in section 8.

11. Children

Signature Dish is only for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.

12. If there's a security incident

If a security breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If a change is material, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice before it takes effect, by email to the address on your account and by posting the updated policy on this page. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. When a change is material, we'll also ask you to review and agree to the updated policy the next time you visit while signed in.
